A landmark moment: Sony Music Finland has again reached the final of Finland’s Most Active Workplace competition!
Sony Music Finland and Wellbeing Superstars by Liikkuva Suomi have been working together for four years to develop corporate culture and employee wellbeing. Along the way, awareness of the factors affecting overall wellbeing has improved significantly and, for example, long-term sick leaves have been eliminated altogether.
In January 2023, Sony Music will again compete for the title of Finland's most active workplace in the Sports Gala final.
Excessive sedentary behaviours and lack of physical activity challenge the wellbeing and performance of working-age people and affect the costs and competitiveness of businesses. Only 10% of working age people get enough physical activity for their health. The Finland's Most Active Workplace competition encourages companies to be active.
The Finland’s Most Active Workplace competition is a mapping tool for assessing and developing companies' well-being at work and physical activity. The most successful companies compete annually for the title of Finland's Most Active Workplace at the Sports Gala on 12 January 2023.
Sony Music’s CFO Olli Sjöström talks about the insights that coaching cooperation with Wellbeing Superstars has brought about: “Improving overall wellbeing is more of a marathon than a sprint. Changes start with small everyday acts of wellbeing which you just have to keep repeating day after day and week after week. Our team has made huge strides in becoming more aware of the importance of everyday activity and recovery in fostering overall wellbeing.”
Wellbeing Superstars coaches Tiina Ven and Kirsi Roos who have been part of Sony Music's journey support Olli: “It has been great to support Sony Music's investment in its staff. Making small changes in everyday life that support wellbeing creates long-term wellbeing and lasting results. Sony Music has plenty of those.”
